Jess and Trent came up to the Gold Coast to get married, have a holiday with their family and mates, and just generally chill. Well, that’s exactly what happened. In true Qld fashion, it belted down, but boy was it a spectacular location shoot! Mansions, balcony ceremony, drinks and sandy barefoot walks on the beach during kick-ass storms. We did it all, and it was awesome. Here is the short and sweet stormy beach wedding of Jess and Trent.

The Sheraton Mirage Gold Coast Wedding of Imigen and Dave was short, sweet and excellent. It had all the good stuff. Custom made bridal gown like nothing I’ve ever seen (courtesy of a Hong Kong designer), an intimate gathering or family and friends, a full super moon during our location shoot, and the best choreographed wedding dance I’ve had the pleasure of photographing (to Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing – I KNOW!).
This was a wedding of pure joy, and it was all organised from the couple’s home in Vietnam and with the help of their lovely family and friends here on the Gold Coast.
The Sheraton Mirage at Main Beach was the perfect location for their intimate ceremony, and it just so happened that we were completely blessed by a spectacular super full moon rising on the beach as we were finishing our location photos on the Spit at Main Beach. I mean, it was perfect. You couldn’t plan it. Well I guess you kinda could, but mother nature really turned it on with one hell of a sunset resulting in the most amazing colours in the sky right at the crucial time I needed them. Thanks to MN for that!
They say it all happens at once. Well, it’s all happening at once over here at the moment!
On the back of a super busy wedding season, I have had the pleasure of being featured in a few wedding and bridal publications in the last few weeks. It’s really exciting seeing your images in print. No matter how many times it happens, I still get a kick out of it (even if I paid for advertising! I know, ridiculous, but true).
So here are the places you can find me right now. Well my imagery anyway. Right now I’m tucked away in my study with a glass of wine writing this post, but anyway, i digress (as usual).

Queensland Brides also have a little love for me with this editorial. They asked me for one of my favourite photos. This was the wedding of Sarah and Rob last December. I absolutely love this shot of Sarah’s Dad during the ceremony. Such a sweet moment I had the pleasure of witnessing. You can check out the rest of that wedding here.
I was also super lucky to be featured on the Queensland Brides blog the other day with a photo in their top 15 for 2015! This is from the wedding of Imogen and Dave and was a cracker of a wedding at the Sheraton Mirage Main Beach. Check out the Qld Brides Blog post here.
The Wedding Guide is another Publication that’s got the goods. I was lucky enough to have a couple of weddings feature in the current (and new) edition, as well as a few other morsels of loveliness throughout. One such wedding was that of Lauren and Tony. Any wonder, this wedding was amazing! Check out Lauren and Tony’s Branell Homestead wedding on my blog here, and purchase your copy of the Gold Coast edition of The Wedding Guide now!
I have to admit, I was a little worried when the rain started coming in from out to sea right after I began to shoot Brianna and Chris’ engagement session (they’ll get hitched March 2015). I was wrong. This is why I became a photographer. These guys were so awesome, nothing was a problem. The rain came down, we got wet, we laughed, we froze, but it was excellent. Here’s why……
P.s Chris brought his other favourite lady along, his guitar, which may or may not make another appearance at their wedding….
When Katie and Ty said they wanted a laid back beach wedding at Bum’s Bay just north of Seaworld on the famous ‘Spit’ at Main Beach, I thought great! These guys really are the most laid back couple I’ve ever met, and they chose a simple, yet beautiful setting in which to share their love with their two little boys and a small group of family and friends; which was promptly followed with a cruise off into the sunset. Who could ask for more?
Here is the wedding of Katie and Ty….
